Bobbin thread that comes out on top of the work
The bobbin thread should never be visible on top of the embroidery
- Incorrect bobbin threading
- Redo the spool threading
- (check the thread path)
- Thread tension too tight
- Wrong size of the embroidery design
- Thread jam
- under the book
- The machine is braked or
- stops, the fabric deforms because the threads are tangled on the back forming a “bird’s nest” under the fabric:
Cut the bobbin and bobbin threads
- Check needle threading
- Worn needle, to be
- changed (this cannot
- always be seen with the naked eye)
- Bobbin incorrectly threaded or incorrectly placed in its case
- Bobbin unsuitable for the machine (this cannot always be seen with the naked eye)
- Operate the threaded needle with the handwheel to bring up any pieces of stuck thread
- Disassemble the needle plate and the bobbin case to dust with a brush (some threads such as cotton clog the machine more quickly)
Tangled upper thread
Redo the threading of the upper thread
